EC8000
The Future Teller Station
At intervals during the day, the teller places checks in the feed hopper of the EC8000 and presses GO key and returns to the teller station. Unattended, the EC8000 amount encodes the checks; the MICR data is read and digitized. At the end of the day the teller moves the GL (General Ledger) tickets to the EC8000. Written amounts are converted to MICR using the EC8000. Digitized, this data is added to the branch data pool. With requested credit transfer to the branches headquarters, the branch can be financially reconciled at the days end. Reconciled digitized data can be transmitted to any requested destination. The third module of the EC8000 will automatically feed, MICR read, endorse and image both sides of the check. All check data is now digitized.
