The DRS 3000 Workstation is a high-resolution digital retrieval system that captures all microform media formats with a magnification range from 7X to 48X. This microfilm scanner was designed to replace conventional reader/printers, with its’ ability to connect to almost any workstation. The DRS 3000 Digital Retrieval System features 3.2 mega-pixel image quality, multi-format versatility, interchangeable imagers to meet different magnification requirements, ability to zoom, crop and rotate images, and ability to save images in common file formats in less than 1 second. Once saved, the DRS 3000 microfilm scanner's images can be distributed through e-mail, fax and on either CDs or DVDs. Magnification options for the DRS 3000 imager include 7x-30x and 24x-48x. The 7x-30x magnification range makes the DRS 3000 an ideal aperture card scanner or aperture card reader printer. In addition, you can zoom your DRS 3000 images up to 500% digitally. Separate controls for black and white trim levels allow you to enhance poor quality images (in addition to the normal exposure control). DRS 3000 Standard Workstation
To achieve maximum performance and compatibility with the use of the DRS 3000, EyeCom has created a custom computer system that meets all the needed requirements of the DRS 3000 Image Capture Unit. The DRS 3000 requires that computers have large circuit board capabilities and also run EyeCom’s custom DRS 3000 software. Workstation unit can be sold with a variety of monitors, or use an existing monitor.
